16:00~17:00 Présentation de projet Les lundis du CENIR: présentation du projet INFERENCE par Leila REDDY (Leila Reddy will present her new project "INFERENCE", that will be conducted on iEEG acquired form epileptic patient implanted with intracranial electrodes.
The presentation will be on Teams (link below)
Learning the relationship between events is crucial to everyday life. Learned relationships can be explicit (e.g., Tom knows Anna), or indirect (e.g., Tom knows Anna, and Anna knows Sara, so Tom knows Sara). In this project, we are interested in testing how these indirect or inferred relationships are encoded in single neurons and local field potentials in the human brain. We will create relationships between pairs of people and ask (1) whether we see evidence for a prospective code of explicit associations, e.g., when Tom is shown, is the neural representation for Anna co-active, and (2), whether we see evidence for inferred relationships, e.g., when Tom is shown, do we see co-activation with representations of Sara? This project will be performed with Prof. David Dupret at Oxford University, whose lab recently published evidence for inferred relationships in the mouse hippocampus (Barron et al., Cell, 2020).
